MoCI to set standard cost for hiring domestics

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: Ministry of Commerce and Industry is intending to set a standard cost for hiring domestic workers from overseas, reports Aljarida daily quoting reliable sources.

They said the committee in charge of studying the issue will submit a report in the coming few days to the Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalid Al-Rawdhan.

The sources indicated that the report was prepared with the cooperation of the public and private sectors after the committee had asked domestic labor bureaus about the cost for hiring labors from overseas. They said they are expecting the new prices to be approved before the end of 2017.
