MOCI monitors Coops, supermarkets to ensure the smooth flow of food supplies

KUWAIT, May 20: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the monitoring of 67 cooperatives, supermarkets, shops and pharmacies during their inspection tours and monitoring 73 food catering branches to ensure the flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries, and to determine the extent of its commitment and to maintain the stability of product prices.


The ministry said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Wednesday, that its inspection teams’ rounds are continuing their work, in light of the decisions in place regarding the procedures concerned to face the repercussions of the spread of Corona Virus (SARS Cove-2) infection that causes (Covid 19).

Emergency center received 130 complaints via the hotline (135), in addition to issuing six notifications of violating commercial stores, stressing the need to adhere to the law because of the exceptional circumstance the country is going through, and that it will be its lookout teams for anyone who seeks to take advantage of the current circumstance.(KUNA)
