KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: In light of the news published by Al-Qabas daily on Dec 7 with the headline, “The Postal Sector without Distributors for Two Years,” the Ministry of Communications affirmed it is closely following up tendering procedures in this regard, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to the ministry, the contract for the transfer and distribution of postal items ended on Nov 30, 2019; while confirming that it is monitoring procedures for fl oating three tenders in this regard in cooperation with other concerned authorities. The ministry attributed the delayed fl oating of tenders to the suspension of work in government agencies on March 12, 2020 due to the Corona pandemic; and withdrawal of the winning bids for the first and third regions in June 2020.
