KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has decided to bear 40 percent of the pilgrimage cost for each Bedoun pilgrim registered for the facilitated Hajj this year, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They affirmed that coordination is underway to facilitate the Hajj caravans for this category after offering the lowest costs for Bedoun residents who registered to perform Hajj ritual this year.

The sources clarified that the ministry will bear KD 500 from the total cost of KD 1,250 and the pilgrim must pay the remaining cost of KD 750.

They indicated that such financial support will be offered to the 1,000 Bedoun pilgrims registered for the initiative launched by Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs few years ago with the aim of enabling the largest number of Bedoun residents to perform their Hajj duty
