KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Urology Consultant, associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University Dr Ahmed Al-Kandari was recently quoted as saying Erectile Dysfunction (ED) among men in Kuwait is on the rise, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Al-Kandari said 75 percent of the men at the age of 60 and older suffer from ED, 30 percent after the age of forty, and 20 percent at a lower age.

Al-Kandari stressed smoking is one of the main causes of erectile dysfunction in Kuwait as well as chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

In a press statement, Al-Kandari said 85 percent of diabetic patients are suffering from impotence in Kuwait, adding that the prosthetic devices operation is an excellent solution for cases of extreme ED.
