Medicine thieves held

KUWAIT CITY, May 2: The Farwaniya police have arrested 10 people for possessing large quantities of medicines and pills believed to have been stolen from the Ministry of Health, reports Al-Anba daily. This happened when police arrested an Asian for not holding Civil ID and the latter managed to escape from police and entered a residential apartment. Police followed him and raided the apartment and seized the 10 people in possession of large numbers of medicines. They have been referred to the authorities.

‘Belt’ scare in mall: Panic spread among many shopkeepers and shoppers of Al-Rihab Complex when they saw an individual with an explosive belt around his torso inside the complex. However, it turned out to be a harmless sports belt. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a man wearing an explosive belt and walking inside Al-Rihab Complex, securitymen rushed to the location and arrested the suspect. They checked his belt and discovered that it is just a sports belt. Necessary action was taken.

Tough action vowed: Upon instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid the General Traffic Department organized several traffic campaigns over the past few days and arrested violators of the law and issued citations to offenders, reports Al-Anba daily. The campaign was headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry Lieutenant-General Suleiman Al-Fahd.
