Meat sold in residential building room – Sri Lankan held with 26 bottles of local brew

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: Farwaniya police, in cooperation with the Emergency Team at Kuwait Municipality, closed a room used for selling meat in the evening, reports Al-Anba daily. Police received information about three expatriates using a room in a residential building for bachelors to sell meat — a violation of public hygiene regulations. The three expatriates have been referred to authorities.

26 liquor bottles seized: Fahaheel police arrested a Sri Lankan for trading in local alcohol, reports Al- Anba daily. The Sri Lankan fled on foot when police approached him but they chase him and they found in his possession 26 bottles of local alcohol. The suspect was referred to the concerned security department.

‘No parking areas found’: Several people with special needs complained that they cannot find parking areas for their vehicles at the airport because the parking areas allocated for them are occupied by cars of healthy people, reports Al- Shahed daily. They said the Airport Traffic Department has not taken any action other than issuing citations although the law states that such cars should be impounded. The complainants disclosed many cars have been parked for many days and covered with dust, considering the number of parking spaces allocated for them is limited.

Two expats held for drugs: Special Task Force men arrested a Syrian and an Egyptian for consuming and possessing meth drugs, reports Al-Shahed daily. Upon checking their security records, it was discovered that the suspects have violated the Residency Law. They were referred to the relevant security unit for legal action.

Nose fractured in fight: Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen arrested a young Kuwaiti for biting and deforming the nose of his friend when they had a fight, reports Al-Shahed daily. The young man was arrested following a complaint filed by his friend and police referred him to the Central Prison because he is also wanted by law for involvement in a drug-related case.
