Many companies selling fake products – Nine beggars arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Several companies are selling counterfeit products of international and local brands, and violated the order of quality and applied regulations of the industry, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting reliable sources.

The same sources stressed that monitoring authorities will launch surprise inspection campaigns on the companies in question, and teams from the Public Authority for Industry will check the licenses and other documents of establishments to ensure their products comply with approved quality specifications while the companies comply with regulations.

Meanwhile, Residency Affairs Detectives in coordination with Farwaniya securitymen arrested nine male and female beggars (all Arabs) from markets in Jleeb Al Shuyoukh area after complaints received by several residents about their activities. They were referred to concerned authorities in preparation for their deportation, reports Al Anba daily.

Fraudster held: Under the supervision of Brigadier Abdullah Al- Saffah, patrolmen from Ahmadi Security Directorate apprehended a citizen in connection with five different financial cases involving KD 41,000, reports Al-Anba daily. Apparently, the officers spotted a motorist driving on excessive speed on the Fahaheel Expressway and ordered him to stop for checking. They arrested and referred him to concerned authorities after checking his details and discovering his involvement in financial offenses.
