KUWAIT CITY, June 5: The Fintas police have managed to arrest the person who had stabbed a 50-year-old Kuwaiti in Mahboula, and the suspect turned out to be a Kuwaiti and not an Asian as it was published earlier based on the statement of the victim, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect is believed to be a beggar who threatened to cause harm to passersby if they did not give him money.
The beggar reportedly approached the victim asking for help and when the man pulled out his wallet he was stabbed twice in a vain attempt to grab the wallet and fl ed to an unknown destination. The CID men are interrogating the man to determine the circumstances of the case, as well as to find the knife with which the victim was stabbed in front of his house.
He said, “When I left the house around two in the afternoon, and walked to the car park, someone who looked like an Asian approached me and asked for help, and when I started to take out my wallet, the beggar stabbed me to steal the wallet and ran away to an unknown destination.
