Man beats ‘sick’ child

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: Police have arrested a young motorist for beating a Kuwaiti boy who is suffering from Down’s syndrome, reports Al- Anba daily.

The arrest came after the father of the boy, identified as Mishari Al-Makimi, filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station. He told the police his son was in the parking lot when the incident happened and the motorist accused him of deliberately coming in his way and said because of his carelessness he would have run over him.

As a result of beating, the son was bleeding from the teeth and there was also injury in the jaw. The father has submitted a medical report. The daily added, a passerby noted the car plate number and gave it to the father, including full details of the vehicle which helped police arrest the suspect. The youth is being interrogated.
