Man arrested in KD 13,000 debt case

KUWAIT CITY, April 6: The Jahra police have arrested a Kuwaiti who had been sentenced in absentia to five years in prison for a criminal felon, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, after the police received a tip-off about his presence, they set a trap for him and caught him in Mangaf when he failed to show his civil. The Kuwaiti, who is believed to be in his 40s and was wanted for failing to pay KD 13,000 debt, has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.

Meanwhile, a 1986-born Kuwaiti citizen and a 1993-born Iraqi national were arrested for stealing the mobile phones of visitors of Salwa Park, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when Hawally securitymen received several complaints that two men stole the mobile phones of visitors while the latter are busy and then run away, a security team was formed. The team managed to arrest the two suspects in possession of two mobile phones
