Maldini, Carvajal in exhibition match

The audience of the Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Ramadan Indoor Football Tournament enjoyed watching the Italian legend Paulo Maldini and the Spanish professional footballer for Real Madrid Club and right-back player of Spanish national team Dani Carvajal in an exhibition match that was held on the 24th day of the tournament.

According to a press release, the crowd was divided in their support of the two popular footballers with one party supporting Maldini’s team and the other supporting Carvajal’s team. Maldini was unable to play in the match due to an injury, so he just stayed on the sides and watched the match. Eventually, Carvajal’s team won with a score of 5-4.

The audience celebrated Maldini’s 48th birthday and raised a huge picture of him.

Khalid Al-Rawdhan stressed the keenness of the organizing committee of the tournament to meet the desires of the Kuwaiti youth. He expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for patronizing the tournament for the fifth consecutive year.

Meanwhile, the biggest surprise of the matches held on the 24th day was when the Bulldozer team defeated the Timas team in penalty shootout after the match between them ended in a draw of 2-2.
