KUWAIT CITY, June 15: As part of the ongoing campaign titled ‘Your Health is Trust’, officials from the Public Hygiene and Road Usage Department affiliated to Farwaniya Municipality seized items displayed by hawkers during an inspection tour of public squares and mosques in Jleeb Shuyoukh and Hasawi areas, reports Al-Seyassah daily.Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality revealed that inspectors seized and destroyed 5 tons of spoilt fruits and vegetables at a makeshift market along a road in Hasawi Block 2. The campaign simultaneously targeted misuse of roads with abandoned vehicles, rickety vehicles and illegal sales at various places in the two areas where officers removed 26 abandoned vehicles.Meanwhile, the Department of Encroachment Demolition at Jahra Municipality conducted an inspection campaign at warehouses and restaurants in Jahra Industrial Area which led to the destruction of 69 kilograms of spoilt foodstuffs and issuance of 14 citations against various violations.
