Maid steals KD 950; Two Saudis held for drugs

KUWAIT CITY, March 24: Police are looking for an unidentified Ethiopian maid who is wanted by law for allegedly stealing KD 950 from her sponsor, reports Al-Anba daily. A complaint has been filed at a police station and a travel ban has been imposed on the woman.

Two Saudis held for drugs: The Ahmadi police have arrested two Saudis for possessing and consuming narcotic substances, reports Annahar daily. The daily added, the men were arrested in Mahboula during a routine security check. 6 computers stolen: An unidentified principal of a school in Maidan Hawalli has filed a complaint with the area police station, accusing thieves of breaking into the school and escaping with six computers, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.

Traffic drive launched: Officers from General Traffic Department carried out sudden traffic campaign in all six governorates last week during which they issued traffic citations against 32,345 vehicles and 14 motorbikes, seized some of those vehicles, arrested 56 individuals for committing serious traffic violations and referred six individuals for deportation for driving without drivers’ licenses, reports Al-Shahed daily. The campaign was held for protecting road users and ensuring the traffic rules and regulations are being followed.

Furniture, clothes taken: A Kuwaiti women lodged a complaint at Jabriya Police Station against laborers of a financial institution for barging into her house after breaking down a wall and taking her furniture, clothes and electronic items, reports Al-Anba daily. A case was registered and investigations in this regard have been launched.

Worker referred to ICU: A 31-year old Egyptian expatriate was referred to the Intensive Care Unit of Adan Hospital by ambulance after he fell from an under construction chalet in Lulua Khairan area. The Operations Room received report about the incident and dispatched security operatives with paramedics to the scene. The victim was referred to ICU of Adan Hospital due to a sharp cut in the head. Initial investigations revealed that the victim was working on a scaffold when he lost balance and fell to the ground.
