Lawyer arrested for posting offensive tweets

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The Public Prosecution Office has ordered the arrest of a lawyer and remanded him to police custody for 21 days at the Central Prison for posting tweets which the security services deemed offensive and violation of a law, reports Al-Anba daily. The lawyer has been charged with broadcasting false news about the internal situation in the country and exposed Kuwait to near severing political relations with a friendly country, sowing seeds of disunity.
