KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: Head of Kuwait Union of Domestic Labor Offices Khalid Al-Dakhnan revealed that the union, along with the owners of a number of domestic labor offices, traveled to the Philippines from Dec 10-18 after receiving an invitation from the Philippines Union of Domestic Labor Offices, reports Al-Anba daily.
He explained that the visit was within the cooperation framework between the two parties with the aim of removing all obstacles in sending Filipino domestic workers to Kuwait.
During the meetings, they discussed the disputes that commonly occur between sponsors and domestic works. On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation participated in a public forum, which was held in the presence of Minister of Labor in the Philippines. During the forum, the delegation presented a detailed explanation about law No. 68/2015 concerning domestic labor.
