Kuwait’s Al-Zaidan clinches bronze at Asian Karate championship

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Kuwaiti karate athlete Sulaiman Al-Zaidan won an amateur bronze medal as the Kazakhstan-hosted Kyokushin World Union Asian championship kicked off on Saturday. Al-Zaidan, who came in third in the under 55 kilograms category, is part of a Kuwaiti contingent participating in the event, said delegation chief Hassan Al-Kandari. Some 170 athletes from countries across Asia are taking part in the two-day event. (KUNA)
