PARIS, Dec 15, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti Embassy in Paris on Saturday warned nationals present in Paris and other French cities to avoid sites with demonstrations during the day because these protests turned violent over the past month. Saturday’s protests involve the socalled “Yellow Vests” who have been protesting living conditions and extra taxes, but these protests have also been infiltrated by violent extremist groups seeking clashes with police and also to damage property and pillage stores.

The Embassy told citizens “to stay away from places of demonstrations and stay at home and only leave in necessary cases and comply with the instructions and guidance of local authorities.”

The Embassy also communicated two emergency numbers for nationals encountering problems during the demonstrations: 0033147235425 and 0033670673834.
