Kuwaitis complain to tackle ‘drifters’

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: A number of Kuwaitis have complained to the Ministry of Interior that some people periodically meet at Umm Saffaq road near an abandoned school to perform stunts and expressed fear for the safety of their children and, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to the citizens nearly 200 vehicles blocked the Umm Saffaq road on the way to Wafra near the abandoned school and calls to the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior fell on deaf ears.

One of the citizens told the daily that he called the operations room specifically the Ahmadi Security Directorate to help him get to his home and every time he called the reply was the patrol was on the way.

He added, this is the usual scenario on public holidays and appealed to the Ministry of Interior to put an end to this scenario because it puts the people’s lives at risk.
