Kuwaiti woman wanted for nonpayment of debt arrested

KUWAIT CITY, March 7: A Kuwaiti woman who is wanted by law for nonpayment of debt worth KD 50,000 was arrested in Riggae area. According to security sources, securitymen were patrolling Riggae area when they saw a woman leave a beauty salon and enter her car. As soon as she saw the patrol vehicle, she became nervous and drove quickly in an attempt to fl ee from the police, hitting three cars in the process.

Securitymen stopped her and asked her for her civil ID but she revealed that she left her civil ID at home. When they checked her details, they discovered she is a Kuwaiti woman who is wanted for payment of KD 50,000. She was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen and a Bedoun man were arrested along with a wanted GCC national. Sources revealed that securitymen stopped a vehicle with three occupants based on suspicions and checked the details of the individuals to discover one of them, a GCC national, was sentenced to five-year imprisonment over a case of murder attempt. They checked the vehicle to find an unlicensed weapon. The GCC national, along with the other two suspects — a Kuwaiti and a Bedoun, were arrested and referred with the weapon to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
