Kuwaiti woman arrested for not paying telephone bill worth KD 122

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: A young Kuwaiti woman who is wanted by law for non-payment of a bill worth KD 122 to a telecommunications company was arrested recently at the Chalets area in Ahmadi and referred to the Sentences Enforcement Department, reports Al-Anba daily. Ahmadi securitymen who arrested her refused interventions for her release on the basis of the amount being small and assurances that she will pay the amount. Meanwhile, Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen arrested a 1992-born Kuwaiti citizen and 1979-born Syrian expatriate separately for failure to pay debts worth KD 1,144 and KD 1,759 respectively. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
