KUWAIT CITY, April 1: The Kuwaiti who is accused of deliberately killing a Pakistani who was riding a motorcycle attempted to end his life inside the toilet of the Sulaibiya Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said this happened when preparations were underway to refer him to the Public Prosecution.
He allegedly requested his guard permission to go to the toilet and made an attempt to end his life by slitting his wrists using a sharp object.
The same source said, after slitting his wrists he started moaning and a policeman who was guarding him rushed to see what was happening. He saw the suspect bleeding from the wrists and was rushed to the Farwaniya Hospital.
Earlier it was reported a 46-year-old Kuwaiti was arrested for allegedly deliberately ‘murdering’ a 30-year-old Pakistani, identified only as Faisal, who was riding a motorbike. He was reportedly chased and run over by the Kuwaiti.
The incident happened in Sulaibiya. It was also reported the victim’s brother was piggy riding with the victim, but reportedly the victim was riding alone and there was no one with him at the time of the accident. The Kuwaiti was allegedly under the infl uence of drugs or alcohol. The Kuwaiti who was abnormal is also said to have attacked a police officer at the Sulaibiya Police Station.
