KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: Police have arrested three Kuwaitis for stealing 18 sheep from a farm in Qashaniyah, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the arrest came after an unidentified Kuwaiti informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior about the suspicious activity of the three men. Quick action by securitymen from the Qashaniyah Police Station resulted in the arrest of the three sheep thieves although they did not find the suspects when they reached the pen house.

However, when the police were on the lookout for the suspects, they saw three people in a pick up wagon carrying sheep. The man behind the wheel was ordered to pull over, but he stepped on the gas pedal and escaped in the desert.

The source added, police asked for support and they saw the pickup wagon on a tow truck with the suspects and the loot inside. Police then arrested the trio and seized the 18 heads of cattle which they had stolen. During interrogation the suspects are said to have admitted to the charge.
