Kuwaiti, Syrian expat held with drugs; Couple caught drunk in Mahboula

KUWAIT CITY, March 15: A Kuwaiti citizen and a Syrian expatriate were arrested in Fahaheel area in possession of drugs. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Fahaheel area when they suspected a jeep with tinted windows.

They ordered the driver to pull over and checked his details as well as that of his passenger to discover the driver is a Syrian and the passenger is a Kuwaiti, and both are involved in drug cases. Based on this information, securitymen checked the vehicle to find drugs.

The two suspects were arrested and referred with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen and an Asian woman were arrested after they were caught in an intoxicated state inside a vehicle that was parked in front of a building in Mahboula area.

In another development, an unknown individual stole KD 70,000 from the vehicle of a Bedoun man in Sulaibiya area.

According to security sources, the victim went to Sulaibiya Police Station and filed a theft case, reporting that an unknown individual broke one of the windows of his vehicle and stole the money, which he had withdrawn from a local bank. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the suspect.
