KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Nugra area for consuming and possessing hashish. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Nugra area when they stopped a motorist who was driving recklessly. They checked his details and discovered he is a Kuwaiti. When they noticed his disoriented state and a cigarette in the ashtray, they asked the citizen about it and he replied that it was hashish. Uncertain whether or not he was bluffing, they checked it to realize he wasn’t bluffing. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities where necessary legal measures have been taken.Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman and a Bedoun man were arrested in Hawally area by Special Taskforce officers for possessing of 120 pills of Pregabalin (locally known as Larica). They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Furthermore, Ahmadi securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen for consuming drugs and possessing two cigarettes stuffed with Synthetic cannabinoids (locally known as spice).According to a police source, he was referred to the concerned authorities for legal action. In addition, a Kuwaiti man and a woman were arrested in Mahboula area in possession of drugs. Patrolling officers suspected a vehicle with a female driver and a male passenger, ordered the woman to pull over. They discovered that the woman did not have a driving license, and the man is wanted by the law. The latter immediately tried to run away but he was caught eventually. The officers also found drugs in their possession. Both suspects were arrested and referred with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities for investigations.By Munaif Nayef Al-Seyassah Staff
