‘Kuwaiti House’ design finalized – One-of-a-kind in GCC

KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Director of Technical Supervision Department at Ministry of Electricity and Water Eng Iqbal Al-Tayyar has affirmed the completion of the first phase related to the design of the Kuwaiti House, which will be constructed next to Souk Sharq, reports Aljarida daily.

In a press statement, she explained that the Kuwaiti House will be unique and one-of-a-kind in the GCC countries. It will focus on rationalization of electricity and water usage. In other words, it will be a museum related to rationalization of electricity and water usage through which citizens and residents will be able to learn about the latest technologies for electricity and water conservation in the world as well as how to save energy by recycling using different insulators. It will be made available for students of schools and colleges in order for them to conduct studies and research on rationalization.

Eng Al-Tayyar indicated about ongoing meetings with the Kuwait Municipality, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and Ministry of Electricity and Water for finalizing the project so that it becomes a unique reality on the land of Kuwait.

She said the ministry Tuesday held a meeting with Kuwait Municipality and KISR for final recommendations concerning the building in order to start the construction, which is the second phase of the project.

Eng Al-Tayyar stressed that, “We will provide information on rationalization of electricity and water consumption through the Kuwaiti House so that all citizens and residents can apply them in their homes”, indicating that the documents of the project will be ready after the end of the design phase.
