KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Kuwaiti fighters in Syria are facing blackmail, robbery and betrayal by the organizations that they are fighting for.
There are also fears of deals being reached to hand them over to rival forces in return for large sums of money, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting informed sources.
They revealed that there are 150 Kuwaiti and Bedoun fighters in various armed organizations in Syria, adding that about 11 Kuwaitis have been killed so far since the eruption of the war in Syria.
The sources indicated that the financial support provided to the fighters and the organizations that they belong to is being stolen by some members of those organizations, stressing that groups were formed recently to safeguard the delivery of cash and to buy weapons.
They revealed that the Kuwaiti fighters in southern parts of Syria fear of being killed, adding that the Bedoun fighters from Kuwait are considered as Kuwaitis because their titles carry the signs and names of Kuwaiti areas and landmarks.
