Kuwaiti drug traffickers held after police chase

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in Salwa area in possession of drugs, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, when Directorate General for Drug Control (DGDC) received information about two citizens involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations.
An undercover agent was sent to the suspects, and an agreement was reached between them to meet behind Salwa Cooperative Society for purchase of drugs. After arriving at the location, the citizens became suspicious as they felt the presence of securitymen and drove off from the location, forcing the officers to chase them.
During the chase, an accident occurred resulting in a minor injury to one of the officers and damages to three vehicles. Eventually the two suspects were arrested in possession of drugs. They were referred to DGDC for necessary legal action, and the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the road after which the traffic flow was organized
