Kuwaiti citizen infected with cholera came from Iraq

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: The Ministry of Health stated that a Kuwaiti citizen was infected with cholera after returning to the country from Iraq. The ministry tweeted that it had detected a Kuwaiti citizen who was infected with cholera, who showed symptoms of the disease after returning from Iraq that was suffering from an outbreak of the disease.

Necessary treatment was provided to the patient in a hospital affiliated with the Ministry of Health, and the patient has been isolated until complete recovery. Those who had come in contact with him were dealt with according to the approved protocols.

The Ministry reminded those who show suspected symptoms such as fever and diarrhea within 7 days of their arrival from one of the countries where the disease is prevalent, to go to the nearest health center to receive the necessary advice and treatment

The Ministry confirmed that the chances of cholera spreading inside Kuwait is out of the question and the MOH is taking precautions and cautions Kuwaitis and expats and residents when traveling to any country where the epidemic is spreading by making sure to avoid unsafe drinking water and foods.
