KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: Students of the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University staged a sit-in Wednesday to demand a lasting solution to “parking” problem, which has gripped the college for years.

The protest was organized in a form of campaign by Students Union of the college in Khaldiya campus, which was attended by several students. Head of the Student Union Abdulaziz Al-Hajiri in an address said “we are protesting today in honor of our late colleague Eman Al-Enezi who met her untimely death in a traffic accident while she was leaving the campus”, adding the goal is to raise voice for concerned parties to hear their cry.

The campus is host to close to 4,000 students and does not have the capacity to cater for their needs particularly car parking space, thus risking the lives of students to danger.
