KUWAIT CITY, Jul 25: The Kuwait Olympic Committee announced that Kuwait will participate in the fifth Islamic Solidarity Games to be hosted by the Turkish city of Konya from August 9-18, with 60 male and female athletes. The committee tweeted that the Kuwaiti teams will participate in 10 different games, namely archery, archery, athletics, cycling, judo, karate, kickboxing, swimming, table tennis, in addition to taekwondo.
The tournament, held under the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, hosted by Turkey for the first time, will involve players representing more than 50 Islamic countries competing among themselves in 21 team and individual sports. The tournament was postponed last year due to the repercussions of the emerging Corona Virus (Covid 19) pandemic
