‘Kuwait to be tourist destination’

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: Assistant Undersecretary for tourism sector Yusuf Mustafa was recently quoted as saying intensive preparations are being made to market Kuwait as a tourist destination during the National Day celebrations and to introduce the country’s historical landmarks, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Mustafa told the daily, the sector has prepared a plan in cooperation with the Tourism Projects Company to cover the most important sites frequented visited by citizens, residents and visitors from other Gulf countries on the occasion of national holidays. He spoke of organized trips to touristic facilities and to introduce these sites to the public in a professional manner compatible with tourism marketing.

He pointed out one of the most important things targeted by the tourism sector is the promotion of touristic sites and participation in national events particularly in the Mubarakiya Market with entertainments such as the folklore in all the governorates and hoisting of the national flag
