Kuwait ranks 18th globally as most expensive rental apartments

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Kuwait is ranked 18th globally on the issue of renting apartments on a list of 109 countries and cities. The monthly average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Kuwait City is about $909, while the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment outside the city center is about $730, reports Al Qabas daily. According to a report published by the American economic website Wall Street 24/7, Qatar came in fourth place with an average rent of $1,545 for a one-bedroom apartment in the city, while the UAE ranked tenth in the world with an average of $1,187 for a one-bedroom apartment. Bahrain ranked 19th with an average rent of $897 and Lebanon 20th with an average of $895. The most expensive country in the world is Hong Kong, where the average cost of renting a onebedroom apartment is $2,178.
