Kuwait parliament beat govt in Al-Rawdhan Futsal match – Iniesta-led Zain All Stars face Kuwait League Stars led by Al-Ansari

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: For the second time in a row, the parliament’s football team have proven their superiority in Futsal after they defeated the government’s team with a score of 2-1 in the ongoing Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Futsal Tournament 2017.
The match, which is considered as the second dream game of the tournament, was attended by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, who was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh.
Representing the parliament were National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Thamer Al-Suwait, Omar Al-Tabtabaie, Faisal Al-Kandari, Nayef Al-Mirdas, Majed Al-Mutairi, Khaleel Abul, Riyadh Al-Adsani and the Al-Qadsiya football star Bader Al-Mutawa.
The government was represented by Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah, Abdullatif Al-Roudhan, Yasser Abul, Dr. Mohammad Al-Fares, Dr. Jamal Al-Harbi, Khaled Al-Roudhan, Fawaz Al-Fadhil, Dr. Hamoud Fulaiteh, Dr Jassem Al-Huwaidhi and Ahmad Jassem.
The first goal of the match was scored by Abdullatif Al-Roudhan from the government team during the first half of the match. However, the parliament team made a strong comeback in the second half of the match through two goals which were scored by Bader Al-Mutawa and Marzouq Al-Ghanim.
Meanwhile, the fans will today witness the third dream game which will be between the Zain All Stars team led by Barcelona player from Spain, Andrés Iniesta, and the Kuwait League Stars led by Qadsiya football superstar Fahad Al-Ansari.
This is the first time Iniesta is participating in the Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Futsal Tournament. With this participation, he will be included in the list of legend footballers who have played in the tournament since its inception. The most recent of these legends was the former Manchester footballer from Wales, Ryan Giggs.
In the coming match, Egyptian legend Mohammad Abotreka and Essam Al-Hadhri will participate, as well as the former Real Madrid goalkeeper from Spain, Iker Casillas.
Also, the organization committee distributed 50 tickets to fans for giving them the opportunity to take photographs with the superstar Iniesta and other local football stars.
Other matches of the day are — Kuwait Cable team versus the late Musaed Al-Mailam team, and Binraddad Group team versus McDonalds team.
Yesterday, the match between the teams of Manahi Al-Osaimi Diwaniya and Hidd Club ended in a goalless draw, rendering an early exit for Hidd Club and qualifying the Manahi Al-Osaimi Diwaniya team for the second round. In the second match, the Late Abdullah Mohammed Al-Medlej team defeated Mondiale Hesham Fulaith team by a score of 3-2.
