Kuwait on UK’s amber list

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: The British Embassy has announced that Kuwait remains on the Amber List as of June 24, reports Al- Qabas daily. Britain classified countries as red, amber or green for coronavirus with each category having a set rules for entering its territories. Travelers must abide by these rules even if they have been vaccinated. On its Twitter account, the embassy revealed that there has been no change in the status of Kuwait since the implementation of the classification. Following are the rules according to category:

1. Among those have been in a country or territory on the red list in the last 10 days before arriving in Britain; only the British or Irish nationals, or those who have residence rights in Britain will be allowed to enter. They must take corona test before traveling and the result should be negative, book a quarantine hotel package that includes two corona tests that will be taken in Britain, fill up a passenger locator form, hotel quarantine upon arrival in Britain and undergo two corona tests.

2. Those you have been in an amber country or territory in the last 10 days before arriving in Britain must take covid test prior to the date of travel and the result must be negative, pay for two covid tests which will be taken in Britain, fill up a passenger locator form, quarantine at home or in the place they are staying for 10 days, take covid test on or before the second day of arrival and on or after the eighth day. Children who are four years old and below are exempted from the requirement to take two covid tests in Britain. The quarantine period could end earlier if the traveler pays for a private covid test through the ‘Test to Release’ scheme.

3. Those coming from a country or territory on the green list, in addition to Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man in the last 10 days; take corona test before traveling with negative result, book for two corona tests that will be taken in Britain, fill up a passenger locator form, take corona test on or before the second day of arrival and undergo quarantine only if the result is positive. Children who are four years old and below are exempted from the corona test requirement. The traveler must undergo quarantine if informed by NHS Test & Trace that he travelled with someone who tested positive for corona.
