‘Kuwait Love’ Football Tourney for Academies kicks off

The “Kuwait Love” Football Tournament for Academies organized by Ultimate Soccer Academy kicked off on Wednesday, February 15 under the patronage of the Public Authority for Sport and will continue until Thursday, February 16 on the Bayan football grounds of the authority.

Director of Sports for All Department of the Public Authority for Sport Hamed Al-Huzaim, Chairman of Sports Arena Department Ahmad Al Sayegh, head of the organizing committee Abdulaziz Al-Mane’ and parents of the players were present on the first day.

Eight academies of two categories — the first category consisting of those born in 2005-2006 and the second category consisting of those born in 2007-2008 – will participate in the tournament. They have been divided into two groups such that the winner and runners-up of each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

Qualifying matches for the first group (2005-2006 born) were held on Wednesday. The group comprised of Future, Golasso, Ultimate and Bayern Munich teams. The “Ultimate Team” qualified for the semis as the winner of the group while the runner-up team was Golasso Team. They are now waiting for the results of the second group which played their matches later on the same day.
