Kuwait Interpol ‘arrests’ Egyptian wanted for his role in murder case

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: An officer working in the Ministry of Interior was found in possession of illicit drug following a traffic accident. A security source said Ahmadi securitymen arriving at the scene of a two-vehicle collision stopped to attend to the officer who was lying on a pavement and found on him a piece of hashish rolled in a quarter dinar. They referred him to the relevant authority. Meanwhile, security operatives on a round of Mahboula area late at night arrested a citizen who abandoned his vehicle and tried to escape on foot at a security checkpoint. The officers managed to arrest the suspect and went ahead to conduct a search on him. They recovered a cocktail of narcotics and referred him with the contraband to concerned authorities.

 Interpol nabs Egyptian: Personnel from the Interpol at the Criminal Investigation Department arrested an Egyptian man wanted by law for involvement in a murder case in Egypt, reports Al-Shahed daily. The Egyptian was nabbed in Salmiya and he will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities soon.

Black magic tools seized: A Kuwaiti doctorate holder was arrested at Kuwait International Airport in possession of tools used for black magic and sorcery, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to sources from airport Customs, Customs officers were checking the luggage of passengers who had arrived at the airport from overseas when they found some strange items in the luggage of a Kuwaiti passenger. After discovering that the items are used for performing black magic and sorcery, the suspect was arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

 Policeman assaulted: Security authorities at Kuwait International Airport referred a Jordanian man to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Sation for assaulting and humiliating a policeman on duty, reports Al-Rai daily. The Jordanian came on a visa issued by a company and he was waiting for the original work permit. He lost composure when he had an argument with the policeman on duty and this escalated into a fistfight between them.

Story fabricated: A Kuwaiti woman was referred to the concerned security department for claiming that her friend was killed, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman went to a police station in Mubarak Al-Kabeer saying her female friend was killed but the officers doubted her story due to many contradictions. After a thorough interrogation, the woman admitted to fabricating the story in order to tarnish the reputation of her family because her brother beat her for leaving the family house for a couple of days.
