Kuwait, Filipino links excellent

KUWAIT CITY, April 13: Ambassador of the Philippines to Kuwait Renato Pedro O. Villa described the Kuwaiti-Filipino relations as distinguished and progressive, reports Al-Anba daily. He highlighted the signed agreements that control the relations between the two friendly countries, revealing that the economic relations between Kuwait and the Philippines witnessed a dramatic development in 2015 when trade volume between the two countries reached $800 million, which is ten times higher than that of 2014.

The ambassador explained that the Philippines imports 30 percent of required oil from Kuwait. Kuwait hosts 241,000 Filipino expatriates out of who 165,000 are domestic workers. He revealed that only twothree percent of the Filipino community in Kuwait is exposed to injustice or unfairness, and they are individual cases.
