KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: OAG Company- an air travel intelligence company based in the United Kingdom — revealed that Kuwait-Dubai flight is the most congested route in the Middle East and among the 20 busiest routes in the world, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The company calculated the rate of congestion by the total number of domestic and international flights (to and from) both destinations by jet engine operations only. Among the many companies that operate on Kuwait-Dubai-Kuwait route are Emirates Airline, Fly Dubai, Kuwait Airways and Al-Jazeera Airways.

The classification exposed several facts that include recognizing Kuwaitis among the most traveled people in the world with Dubai as their first choice of destination. Congestion in this route does not necessarily mean direct visit to Dubai but serves as a transit for numerous passengers.

The route is not only congested during summer and the long holidays, but during short holidays. Business transactions in Dubai, which is a financial and trade hub, is another factor contributing to the congestion. Several international business moguls visit Kuwait on a regular basis for business deals and projects, especially in recent times when the country is still executing series of projects.

Dubai has succeeded in attracting adults and children considering availability of many recreational facilities that satisfy their interest.

Kuwaiti investment in Dubai is relatively high compare to other GCC and Arabian cities, as it provides attractive tourist facilities for conservative families, in addition to unconventional attractions. The marketing factor remains highly attractive, especially the periodic exhibitions organized in Dubai.

Several cities in the region suffered and continue to suffer serious geopolitical disorders, but Dubai remains a safe preference for Kuwaitis and non Kuwaitis.
