Kuwait Cricket inaugurates Boubyan Trophy – Top banks compete for T20

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: Kuwait Cricket held an opening ceremony for the T20 Boubyan Trophy at the Doha Entertainment City ground. This is the second tournament of the 2017-18 season for the banks league.
Top banks in Kuwait namely Boubyan Bank, NBK, KFH, Warba Bank, Burgan Bank, ABK, AUB, Gulf Bank, CBK and KIB are participating and competing for the T20 Boubyan Trophy.
The ceremony was conducted by Munaf Tisekar who is the Official Coordinator for KC Corporate Tournaments and an active member of the KC marketing team.
The guest of honour, Waleed Al-Saqabi Assistant Manager, Corporate communications, Boubyan bank encouraged Kuwait Cricket to continue such initiatives. Top Officials from Kuwait Cricket including Sajid Ashraf, Rishi Jayan (Director of Seniors Cricket & IT, and Robert (Director of Facilities and Logistics for Kuwait Cricket) were present for the occasion.
Sajid Ashraf thanked Boubyan bank and Waleed Al-Saqabi for their continued support for such prestigious events. He also highlighted the plan for the 2017-18 season going forward for domestic as well as for the Kuwait’s Under-16, Under-19 and senior cricket teams where the future looks bright.
Waleed was impressed by the recent success of the Kuwait U-19 team which was the runners up for the Asia cup qualifiers.
Rishi Jayan added note of thanks for all the participating teams, volunteers and support staff for the upcoming tournament ‘Boubyan Trophy’ for all their continued support and encouragement.
Waleed Al-Saqabi along with the KC officials and team captains cut the cake to mark the inauguration of the KC T20 Boubyan trophy. Refreshments were provided to all the players, official and grounds staff present at the venue.
