KUWAIT, Feb 10: Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday deplored in the strongest terms the continued “terrorist” attacks launched by Yemeni Houthi militias towards Saudi Arabia. The militias targeted Saudi Abha International Airport with a booby-trapped drone on Wednesday.

Continuing terrorist acts confirms danger to security and stability in the region, and poses a flagrant challenge to international humanitarian law through targeting civilians and civil areas, the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry stressed the necessity that the international community represented in the Security Council assumes its role to deter these acts as they pose a blatant threaten to international peace and security, it noted.
In addition, the ministry emphasized that Kuwait stands side by side with the brotherly Saudi people and fully supports Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to maintain its security, stability and sovereignty, according to the statement. (KUNA)
