Kuwait club beats Burgan club in Kuwait Handball Premier League

Al Arabi beat Fahaheel

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 29: The Kuwait Handball Premier League title holder Kuwait Club won against its counterpart Burgan Club, 34-27, at the start of the new season of the championship. Eight local clubs are participating in the tournament. In another game Al-Arabi beat Fahaheel 27-26.

 The game was played in the Indoor stadium of Union Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. In the first half the current champions Kuwait Club were leading with 18-12 goals and continued their domination over the game against Burgan club which ended in 7 goal difference due to their superior game.

In the other match that was held in the same indoor stadium the match between Al Arabi club and Fahaheel club witnessed a close contest between the two teams where Al Arabi won by 27-26.

Kuwait Handball Premier League started in the year 1966-67. Kuwait Club and Salmiya Club have been crowned winners 11 times whereas Al Arabi club has been crowned 10 times, Kazma club 6 times,  Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Sulaibikhat and Fahaheel with four times and Khaitan club two times. (KUNA)
