Kuwait ‘capture’ three gold medals in tourney – First GCC Police Sports event

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: In the First GCC Police Sports Tournament, which the State of Kuwait is hosting from Nov 8-14, 2015, Kuwait’s team won three gold medals on Monday after competing strongly with teams from other GCC countries in swimming, shooting, Judo and Karate categories.

In Kata competition for individuals, Kuwait’s Sayed Mohammad Abdullah won gold medal after defeating Saudi’s Abdullah Al-Fifi who won the silver while Qatar’s Adham Abdulnasser and United Arab Emirates’ Ahmad Yousef won the bronze.

In the individuals’ fighting competition under 84kgs, Kuwait’s Saad Al-Rashidi won the gold medal while Fahad Al-Rashidi from Saudi Arabia won the silver, and Oman’s Abdullah bin Ali and Qatar’s Qasim Gholam won the bronze.

In the individuals’ fighting competition above 84kgs, Ahmad Mesfir from Kuwait won gold medal, Abdullah Jamal from Qatar won the silver while Hameed Faraj from Bahrain and Abdulaziz Hosawi from Saudi Arabia took the bronze.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Kuwait Police Union Major General Faisal Al-Sinen organized a dinner party at Crowne Plaza Hotel in honor of the participating delegations. Before that, a ceremony was organized during which the heads of the delegations exchanged plaques.
