DOHA, Sept 28: Kuwait's billiards and snooker team clinched a quintet of medals in a Qatar-hosted championship, four of which came in the billiards contest, the national coach said on Tuesday. Kuwait's Ahmad Al-Dulaimi powered his way to a gold medal in the billiards 10-ball pool, while his compatriot Abdullah Al-Qattan trailed in third in the eight-ball contest, Khaled Al-Mutari told KUNA via telephone. The duo of Abdulaziz Al-Awadhi and Saud Al-Abdulrazaq won a bronze medal in the snooker group contest, added the head coach, highlighting the stiff competition among some of the region's top athletes.(KUNA)
