KOTC ‘shooting’ tourney kicks off

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: The Kuwait Shooting Club has started preparing for organizing the Kuwait Oil Tankers Company Shooting Championship, which is due to be held at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Olympic Shooting Complex from Wednesday, March 22 to Friday, March 24.
The three-day competition is expected to witness participation of shooters from the club, National Guard and Sheikh Saad Police Academy as well as from the club’s other branches in Jahra and Sabahiya areas. The championship will consist of Olympic shooting categories, 10m pistol and rifle, 50m pistol and rifle, and archery. Professional and amateur shooters of both genders will compete in these categories.
Secretary General of Kuwait Shooting Association and Arab Shooting Federation Obaid Al-Oseimi said the Kuwait Oil Tankers Shooting Championship is one of the most distinguished competitions organized by the club, stressing the keenness of the board of directors to list it as part of its local annual activities.
