KJA suspends membership in Asian Sports Association

KUWAIT CITY, March 13, (KUNA): Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) announced Monday the suspension of its membership in the Asian Sports Press Association (AIPS ASIA). The suspension decision is due to the recent resignation of Sattam Al-Sehli, Kuwait’s representative at AIPS ASIA’s Executive Committee, in addition to five other members, KJA said in a statement after its meeting earlier.

These resignations were submitted during AIPS ASIA’s meeting held between February 28th and March 3rd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, noted the statement. The meeting was met with major protests by the participants due to AIPS ASIA’s failure to submit the financial report, in addition to disclosure of several financial violations by the Asian Association and a number of its executive committee’s members, it added
