KD 15m spent on subsidies in November, says ministry

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said it has spent 15 million dinars on subsidies during November 2019, reports Al- Rai daily.

The ministry said nearly 7.2 million dinars was spent on nutritional foods including milk and other food nutrients; nearly 559,000 dinars has been spent on children’s food and milk which includes a variety of 24 various items, while 7.8 million dinars was spent as subsidy on the constructional materials.

According to the latest statistic issued by the ministry, nearly 2.12 million people benefitted from the food subsidy saying the ministry has distributed 236.74 thousand ration cards among the citizens.
