KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: The Court of First Instance acquitted a Kuwaiti juvenile who was accused of attacking another using a cleaver which resulted in a permanent deformity in the victim. The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of beating the victim and causing injuries on the palm of his left hand, as specified in the medical report. It also accused him of abusing the victim publicly. During the court session, the plaintiff counsel Attorney Ismat Al-Kharboutli insisted that the complaint against her client is malicious and the testimonies of the victim are contradicting.

Girl flees home: AKuwaiti has filed a missing persons report on his 22-year-old daughter with the Riqqa Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the complainant the daughter sneaked out of the house in the wee hours of the morning. When he tried to call her on her cell phone, he found it out of the coverage area. The father has given police details and description of the daughter.
