KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Following a recent photo posted on social media about a sheep displayed for sale inside Shamiya police station, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry has clarified the scenario, which it says, was blown out of proportion, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

Apparently, a Kuwaiti citizen found a lost sheep and brought it to the police station in Shamiya. The sheep remained in the station pending feedback from the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources after the sector was notified about it. In the meantime, an officer jokingly printed a piece of paper with the inscription “For Sale” and stuck it on the sheep to laugh with his colleagues.

The sheep was reportedly kept inside the police station when an unknown person took a photo of it and posted on social media to mislead the public into believing a sheep auction was taking place at the police station. Ministry of Interior has since warned its cherished employees to follow the rules and regulations of security sector, especially during official working hours. It also extended appreciation to the person who posted the photo to expose the negative incident and vowed to reprimand all those involved.
