Jewelry stolen; Flat vandalized

KUWAIT CITY, June 6: Police are looking for an unidentifi ed burglar for breaking into the home of an Egyptian woman in Maidan Hawally and stealing jewelry worth KD 2,750, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fi ngerprints to identify the culprit. Meanwhile, a GCC citizen who is serving time at the Central Prison in solitary confi nement reportedly was caught while attempting to steal the CCTV camera from his cell, reports Al-Rai daily. The camera is reportedly focused on the inmate to monitor his movements.

Flat vandalized: An unknown individual broke into an Iraqi woman’s apartment in Jahra area and vandalized it. According to the police report, the woman lodged a complaint at Jahra Police Station, informing securitymen about the incident. She explained that an unknown individual gained access into her apartment by breaking the glass door and vandalized the entire apartment before fleeing the scene. Police referred the case to the General Department of Criminal Investigations to carry out investigations and determine the identity of the culprit(s).
